In the process of creating my artificial persona, I have attempted to develop a story and setting that aligns with the prominent elements of my character and her personality. My character, Botanica Flora, is a sort of unofficial Patron Saint of the forest and the swamp. Through her career as a botanist and plant geneticist, she was able to create a symbiotic relationship with her house plants and the plants around her home, and she learned how to communicate with them and harness their properties in a sustainable way. As her relationship with nature progressed, she began to understand the beneficial properties contained within her plant friends, and she learned how to combine their DNA together and enhance her own genetic makeup to embody these benefits. Initially, she began to grow tiny flowers out of her pores and was able to use the vitamins and minerals within them to improve her physical and mental health. As she grew more comfortable with this transformation, she expanded her DNA modifications to include many more plant species and was able to harness the benefits of a variety of flora types. She currently has vines woven under and through her skin, wildflowers emerging from her hair, and extendable branches that she can use as secondary limbs. In her current state, she has taken on many traits of her forest friends, and they have accepted her into their community, and grown fond of her nurturing energy. She can communicate with them, understand their needs, and provide assistance to them based on their external conditions. She has also developed a relationship with the pollinators in her area, and they tend to follow her around simply to find peace in her ethereal presence. She understands that she has undergone quite a striking transformation, but her friends still support her and try their best to embody her nature whenever they come to visit. She is an inspiration and friend to many, and her glowing spirit provides a guiding light to all those whom she graces with her presence.
